City Central Church is Pentecostal and a part of CRC Churches International. Our church was birthed over 30 years ago from humble tent meetings. Historically, the church has set up meetings in school halls for many years.
Pastor Rod and Vicki Gilchrist were youth leaders in the church for many years. After three years as missionaries in Papua New Guinea, they returned and became Seniors Pastors in 1999. Paster Rod built a permanent church building in 1999. The church has grown over the past ten years and in 2009 moved into our current extension.
Our church is considered a resource church, where we have strong ties to our regional areas.
We see our church as one that balances the Word of God and allows the Holy Spirit to minister in people’s lives.
We see our church as one that lifts up the person of Jesus Christ and enthusiastically worships him.
We see our church as one that embraces everyone despite our differences and where people are brought into wholeness through the Word and healing ministries that are available.
We see our church as alive and vibrant, where people are released and enabled to dream their God given dreams.
We see that our church has an emphasis in empowering and equipping families and marriages, helping them to grow healthy, kingdom-minded children and young people. Our church is one where the elderly are honoured.
Our church has a strong prayer base and everything that we have done has always been in faith. If is every believer’s inheritance to move in the miraculous.
The church is not the building, we are and we have an exciting journey ahead of us.
